Violinist Ai Takamatsu
Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1998. Started playing the violin at the age of 3. He has won 1st place at the Burghardt International Music Competition, 1st place at the All Japan Student Music Competition in Nagoya, 3rd place at the national competition, and won the Outstanding Newcomer Award (highest award) at the Tokyo International Arts Association Newcomer Concert Audition. Winner. Performed with Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra. From the time he was in high school to the present, he has been actively performing solo recitals and touring nationwide.
CD “White Case” with all original songs will be released in the summer of 2020,

Graduated from the music department of Nagoya City Kikuri High School and the instrumental music department of Tokyo University of the Arts. He is also actively engaged in online activities such as live streaming and video streaming, and has a total of over 600,000 followers on SNS.
The violin used is an 1840 Cremona-made Enrico CERUTI loaned by the D&K Violins Association.

After attending Kaisei Junior and Senior High School, he entered Tokyo College of Music as a special scholarship student and graduated at the top of his class. In 2017, while still in high school, he studied abroad at the Vienna State University of Music and acquired a diploma. He has won prizes in numerous domestic competitions, including the 43rd PTNA Piano Competition Pre Special Gold Prize and the 47th PTNA Special Class Prize.
While still a university student, he won the highest prize, 2nd place, at the 10th Franz Liszt International Piano Competition (Weimar), as well as the Audience Award and the Saint-Saëns Best Interpretation Award. He is well known not only for his perspective as a pianist, but also for his deep knowledge of chamber music and orchestral works.
While he is active in performing as a soloist, co-starring with domestic and international orchestras including the Thuringian Philharmonic, his chamber music is also well-received. In addition, the magazine “Monthly Piano” and the TV “Odoru! Sanma Goten!! (Nippon Television),” “Vietnam no Hibiki (NHK),” and many other appearances in various media. At the same time, he is attracting attention from the education field, and is expected to play an active role across music and general education.
To date, he has studied under Katsunori Ishii, Yusuke Kikuchi, Hikohiro Sato, Mari Takeda, Farkas Gabor, Gigla Katsalava, and the late Minoru Nojima. 2022-23 Yamaha Music Support System Scholarship Recipient. Artists participating in Chanel Pygmalion Days 2023. Belongs to Tactical Cart Classics.
