Yeongwol County Office is now accepting new⁤ applications ⁢for model restaurants until October ‌4. The goal is to ​enhance the hygiene standards of‌ local restaurants and contribute to creating a green food culture.

A model restaurant is an establishment that sets the standard⁢ for excellent food culture by​ practicing ‌good diet, maintaining excellent facility hygiene, and providing top-notch service.

To be eligible, businesses must be ⁣registered as general ⁣restaurants in Yeongwol and ‌have been in operation for over six months. Interested establishments should fill​ out an ‍application form and submit it‌ to the Environmental Sanitation and Hygiene ⁣Team or Yeongwol-gun Restaurant Business Branch.

The​ selection process involves an on-site inspection of⁤ the applicant businesses to assess their⁣ sanitary conditions. The Food Culture‌ Improvement ⁤Movement Promotion Committee ⁢will ⁣then ‍deliberate and make the final decision. Existing model restaurants will also undergo re-evaluation.

Designated model restaurants will ⁢receive a certificate ⁣of designation, signage, priority loans ‍for business ⁢facility improvement funds,‍ reduced water usage fees, and sanitary supplies. They‌ will​ also be featured on ⁢the ⁣county office’s website and promotional ⁣brochures, including introductions to their‌ representative foods.
