About the Street Corner Concert Project
We will hold high-quality concerts in stores, plazas, and other street corners in the city. To promote the project, we have established the “Nishinomiya Street Corner Concert Executive Committee,” which plans and manages the events with the participation of musicians and volunteer citizens.
Nishinomiya, a City Where You Can Encounter Music
The “Nishinomiya, a Town Where You Can Encounter Music” project was launched in 2004 with the hope that Nishinomiya will be a town where encounters with music create rich emotions and where these emotions overflow into kindness towards others. Nishinomiya City hosts a wide variety of high-quality concerts sponsored by the city and its citizens, including city-wide events such as the Citizens’ Music Festival and Citizens’ Chorus Competition, and musical activities are also actively carried out in school education settings and community center activities.
