The Nishinomiya Machikado ⁢Concert Executive Committee, the Nishinomiya City Cultural​ Promotion ⁤Foundation, and Nishinomiya City are hosting the 230th Machikado Concert. This time, the concert​ will⁣ feature⁤ the Nishinomiya Boys’ Choir at the Central Plaza on the⁢ 2nd floor⁢ of the‌ Acta Nishinomiya​ East Building. No registration​ is required. Please come directly to ‌the⁢ venue!

Nishinomiya Boys’ Choir

The Nishinomiya Boys’ Choir was founded ‍in 1961 as the⁤ first⁤ boys’ and girls’⁢ choir in‍ the‍ Hanshin area with the aim of promoting cultural activities for the youth of Nishinomiya City. Since then, in the hope⁢ of contributing ⁤to the emotional education of‍ young children,​ the choir has held concerts and other‌ events to raise ⁤awareness​ of its activities among ​the⁤ general public, and⁤ is active​ as a boys’ choir worthy of the educational and residential city of Nishinomiya. There are⁤ currently about 120 ‍members in the choir. They practice happily every Saturday.

Session 1: Group​ B and C (1st and 2nd year after joining the club)

Session 2:⁣ Group A (3 years or more since joining ⁣the club)

Some of the⁤ songs to be performed include:

• Ride‍ a balloon to ‌anywhere
• Kusatsu ⁢Festival
• Country Road
• Aizu‍ Bandaisan and others

Note: The performers and songs will vary for each ⁢performance.

About the‌ Street Corner⁤ Concert Project

We will ‍hold⁣ high-quality ‌concerts in stores, plazas, and other ‌street corners in the city. To promote ‌the project, we have established the⁤ “Nishinomiya Street Corner⁢ Concert Executive Committee,” which plans and manages the events with the ⁤participation of musicians and volunteer citizens.

Nishinomiya, a City Where You Can ‌Encounter Music

The “Nishinomiya,⁤ a Town Where‌ You‍ Can Encounter Music” project was launched in 2004 with the hope that Nishinomiya will ⁤be ⁢a town where encounters with music create ⁢rich​ emotions and where these emotions overflow ⁣into kindness towards others. Nishinomiya City hosts a wide variety of ‌high-quality ‌concerts sponsored by the‍ city and its⁢ citizens, ⁤including city-wide⁤ events such as the Citizens’ ⁣Music Festival‌ and Citizens’ Chorus Competition, and musical activities are also actively carried ‍out in school education settings and community​ center ⁢activities.
