Get Ready to Rev Up: TAG Heuer Monaco Unleashes a Daring Racing Green Edition, a Nod to British Motorsport Heritage
TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Racing Green: A Timeless Tribute to British Motorsport
TAG Heuer has introduced a new racing green model to its iconic Monaco series, paying homage to the rich history of British motorsport. This latest addition is a testament to the brand’s commitment to innovation and style.
In the early 20th century, racing cars were painted in national colors, a tradition that influenced the design of the Monaco. The newly added racing green is a nod to this heritage, symbolizing British motorsport and still used today by racing teams and car manufacturers.
The dial features a stunning silver sunburst satin finish, reminiscent of the engine-turned dashboards of vintage sports cars. Eight polished silver hour indexes and twelve dot markers filled with light green Super-LumiNova ensure effortless time-telling.
The bright yellow stripe on the faceted baton-shaped marker at the 12 o’clock position is a subtle reference to the color of the second hand and the yellow used in actual racing cars. The sub-dial is a vibrant and sophisticated color that pays homage to racing green.
The crown is located at the 9 o’clock position, a tradition that has continued since 1969. The green strap is perforated to reflect the aesthetics of a British gentleman, and the included grade 2 titanium folding buckle is engraved with the Heuer logo.
The movement is powered by Caliber 11, while the grade 2 titanium case is sandblasted to give it a robust, lightweight, and sporty look. The sapphire case back allows for a partial view of the inner movement and is engraved with “One of 1000” to indicate that it is a limited edition.
