toconoma Releases Music Video for Digital Single “SignaL” and Announces New Album “ISLAND”

Instrumental band toconoma has released⁣ the ‌music video for their ‍digital single “SignaL,” which was ⁤released on September 18th. This song is toconoma’s second single of 2024, a ⁢high-speed funk tune that seems to be rushing up to a new stage, and ‌the⁢ energy condensed into 3 and a‍ half minutes gives a sense of the new future‍ of ⁤toconoma.

The music video was shot in a fully LED studio and features a fast-paced performance against a backdrop of motion graphics that represent signals ⁢traveling around the world. The video also features the members trying their hand at dancing for ‍the first time, making it a symbolic‍ video of‌ the band’s new ⁢stage.

The⁣ release of the long-awaited ⁤new album was also announced.‍ Four years after their previous album “VISTA,” the band will release their fifth full-length ‌album “ISLAND” on November 6th, which ⁤was ‍created‍ from the lifestyle of balancing work and music activities that they have been⁣ continuing since the band’s formation. The album title contains their ‍spirit of proposing‌ Japan’s unique emotional musicality to the world with⁣ a dance beat.

A total of nine songs will be⁤ included, including the singles “Quest4″ and ⁢”Futurez” released in 2022, the single “Open World” released in June that⁢ opens the door from everyday life to⁢ the next world,‍ and the latest single “SignaL.” Furthermore, it was announced that “toconoma 5th ALBUM “ISLAND” RELEASE PARTY” ⁢will be held⁢ at ⁤Shibuya WWW X on November 17th.
