Geum Nana, former Miss Korea Jin/Chosun DB
Geum Nana (41), Miss Korea in 2002, is said to have married a construction industry president seven years ago.
Ten Asia reported on the 2nd that “Geum Nana married MDI Leisure Development president Yoon Il-jeong in complete secrecy seven years ago” and that “the age difference between the two is 26 years.”
She continued, “President Yoon raised his only daughter alone since his first wife died a long time ago,” and “We got married quietly at the CS Hotel in Jungmun, Jeju, owned by President Yoon.”
According to media reports, President Yoon is a godfather in the construction industry and owns 11 subsidiaries under MDI Leisure Development. The wedding venue, Jeju Jungmun CS Hotel & Resort, covers an area of about 13,000 pyeong and is the filming location of the dramas “Secret Garden” and “Boys Over Flowers”. President Yoon is also said to own MDI Leisure Development’s Namchuncheon CC golf course, planned with 27 holes on 410,000 pyeong of land in Gangwon-do.
Geum Nana, born in 1983, was selected as Miss Korea Gyeongbuk Jin in 2002 while attending Kyungpook National University Medical School. Nana Geum, who dropped out of medical school and went to study in the United States, caught her attention by being accepted into Harvard University and MIT at the same time.
Geum Nana attended Harvard University and majored in biology. She earned a master’s degree from Columbia University and returned to Harvard to obtain a doctorate in nutrition and disease epidemiology. He is currently a professor at the Department of Food and Biotechnology at Dongguk University and was recently appointed director of the Science Education Center at Dongguk University.
