[Reporter Hong Ruiqin/Tainan Report]”Ghost Moon” come to listen to supernatural stories! Lin Chengzhi created the historical novel “Relics”, which incorporated the difficult process of the national army’s construction of the Taitung Zhihang Base Jiashan Project (Jian’an 737 Airport Expansion Project) into witches, curses and legends, but military history has dramatic tension. He will hold a new book launch event at the Jinshitang Xinying store on September 3, Soldiers’ Day, to share his creative journey.

On August 21, 1990, a military plane crashed in a sugarcane field in the outskirts of Yunlin County. All 18 soldiers on board died in the air crash. At that time, the martyred military officer suffered misfortune when he was about to fly to inspect the 737 project. Prior to this, it was rumored in the local area that the excavation of the base was marked with a “curse of the sarcophagus”. The story of “Ruins” uses a young witch yearning for Christ, an outstanding and capable officer soldier, and a passionate warrior who protects the witch. The adventures of the virtual characters to find the answer together, truly record the hardships of the airport project, and explore the tribal culture. change and helplessness.

Lin Chengzhi once created the screenwriter of “A Red Child Entangling the Dragon”, and participated in the film performances of “The Other Side of the Mountain” and “Walk the Road”. He is also the grandson of Lin Maosheng, the first doctor in Taiwan to study in the United States and a victim of 228. Perhaps he was born in a family of descendants of the 228 survivors, and the atmosphere of his growth was often warned by the elders to be careful when speaking. Lin Chengzhi laughed at himself and said that he had dyslexia when he was a child, and became a bit rebellious when he grew up. He loved writing articles and telling stories. The character of the witch has more or less the projection of his inner world and ideas. The new book release will share his creative journey, as well as real photos that have not appeared in the book, leading readers to wander between reality and fiction.

Lin Chengzhi said that the sacrifices of Taiwan’s youth in the army and the amnesia of tribal civilization may be helpless, but their efforts have jointly created the most reliable barrier to protect Taiwan’s national defense security today. The purpose of writing this book is also to awaken everyone to cherish Taiwan now and protect the future.

The “Ruins” new book release sharing session will be held at 3:00 pm on September 3 at Jinshitang Tainan Xinying Store.
