The Los Angeles Angels bolstered their roster Sunday,acquiring veteran LaMonte Wade Jr. from the San Francisco Giants. The 31-year-old Wade, a first baseman and outfielder, was designated for assignment by san Francisco earlier in the week.
To make room for Wade, the Angels designated right-hander Michael Darrell-Hicks for assignment. The Angels will send either cash or a player to be named later to the Giants as part of the deal.
