The Giants’ offense has struggled to support Justin verlander, who suffered his fifth consecutive loss despite allowing three or fewer earned runs in seven of his starts this season. Giants manager Bob Melvin expressed frustration over the team’s inability to provide run support for Verlander. “I wish we knew,” melvin said, regarding the offensive struggles. “For whatever reason, we’re not supporting him well.” The Giants pitching role is crucial for a turnaround.
