Gold prices in Egypt continued their downward trend on Thursday, April 16, 2026, with 21-karat gold recording EGP 7,050 per gram, according to data from the Marsad al-Dhahab for Economic Studies.
The decline marks the third consecutive day of falling prices in the local market, continuing a broader pattern observed since the beginning of April. On Wednesday, 21-karat gold had closed at EGP 7,080 per gram after opening at EGP 7,165, reflecting a drop of EGP 85 during the session.
