Google is working on a new “Images” tab within its app, designed as a Pinterest clone to provide users with inspirational images. The feature, discovered through an APK teardown, allows users to curate ideas for topics like fashion and interior design.
The upcoming Pinterest clone will live inside the Google app.The “Images” tab will refresh daily with visuals sourced from Google Search, offering a personalized experience based on user-selected topics.
Users will be prompted to select at least three topics, such as women’s fashion, food and drink, or home decor, to tailor their image feed. The feature enables users to share images, save them to collections, use Google Lens for searches, or hide unwanted images.
Currently, the feature is still under growth. Initial tests show random images instead of those matching selected topics. Google is expected to resolve these issues before the official launch.
