To prevent harm to consumers using overseas direct purchase platforms, the government is increasing the distribution surveillance network for illegally imported goods.

The Korea Customs Service announced today (26th) that it will also include AliExpress and Temu in its investigation into the distribution of illegally imported goods scheduled to take place in June.

He said he has requested cooperation from these platforms to ensure that their own system authentication and user protection systems are functioning well.

According to the Korea Customs Service, the number of goods detected through foreign direct purchase abuse last year amounted to 114.9 billion won, which is about double last year.
