Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government will honor Sushil Mann, whose timely intervention saved the life of Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. Uttarakhand government has clarified that Sushil Mann will be honored on Republic Day.
Bus driver Sushil Mann rescued Panth from the burning car. Sushil took the ball out of the car and covered it with a bed sheet. An ambulance was then called.
On December 30, while going from Delhi to Dehradun, the car in which Pant was driving fell into a divider. It is suggested that the ball fell asleep and caused the accident. Ball suffered injuries to his head, arms and legs.
A knee injury can take up to six weeks to heal. Pant is currently undergoing treatment at Max Hospital in Dehradun. The possibility of airlifting the star to Delhi was also explored.
