Governor Lee Cheol-woo in tribute to Queen Elizabeth of England

– Remembering the noble life of the queen and mourning with 3 million residents of Gyeongsangbuk-do

Gyeongsangbuk-do Governor Lee Cheol-woo expressed his condolences on the death of Queen Elizabeth II of England on the 9th.

Governor Lee recalled, “It was very nice and grateful that Queen Elizabeth II of England visited Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, on April 21, 1999.”

He continued, “The Queen praised Andong Hahoe Village as ‘Korea in Korea’.”

He added, “The Royal Road (Hahoe Village ~ Bongjeongsa Temple), which Prince Andrew visited 20 years later, has become a valuable tourism resource in Korea and is visited by many tourists.”

“I sympathize with the 3 million residents of Gyeongsangbuk-do in memory of the noble life of the queen, who became the light of the world with the flames of a century and became the brightest jewel.”
