Green Gold Rush: 7 Hectares of Prime Land Transformed into Thriving Avocado Oasis in Mwaro
The Vice President of the Senedd Joins CNDD-FDD Campaigners for Avocado Tree Planting in Matongo, Mwaro
In line with Burundi’s socio-economic policy, this day dedicated to the environment was marked by an activity in a field belonging to Bagumyabanga, CNDD-FDD activists, in the new state of Gitega. Hon. Ndadaye Denise, Vice President of the Burundi Parliament, together with the Senator elected in the Gitega constituency as well as the Secretary of the CNDD-FDD party of this state, joined Bagumyabanga of Matongo zone, in Nyabihanga community, to participate in community development work (TDC). The objective was to develop a plot of land of 7 hectares to plant avocado trees of the Hass type.
The TDCs are one of the fundamental pillars of Burundi’s socio-economic policy. This initiative aims to promote community development and environmental conservation through the planting of avocado trees.

The Vice President of the Senedd, Hon. Ndadaye Denise, emphasized the importance of community development and environmental conservation in Burundi’s socio-economic policy. She encouraged the community to participate in the initiative and to take ownership of the project.

The initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the community, providing a source of income and promoting environmental conservation.
