Groom KSU District President; The bride is a former SFI district committee member

Kozhikode: Holding the two-colored flags in their hands during the student struggles, they came under one umbrella. KSU district president VT Nihal and former SFI district committee member Aifa Abdurahman are coming together. The engagement is over. The wedding is next year.

Nihal and IFA were students of Kozhikode Law College. Nihal was a final year LLB student when IFA arrived as a five year LLB first year student. Nihal was the fiery leader of KSU at Law College, the stronghold of SFI.

He joined SFI as IFA College Union Joint Secretary and University Union Councilor. Nihal KSUU District President and District Joint Secretary of IFA SFI Women’s Model District. The two say they were acquainted as organizers at Law College but it did not grow romantically.

After completing his studies, Nihal started practicing as an advocate in the District Court in 2018. The experience grew when IFA also appeared in district court 3 months before completing the course in 2021. The marriage proposal came through a relative of IFA. Nihal says he was skeptical that politics would be an issue, but when he spoke openly, he realized it was not an obstacle. The couple decided not to change their ideologies even after marriage.
