Gujarat Titans secured a five-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in the 25th match of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday, April 17, 2026. Chasing a target of 181, the Titans reached 181 for five in 19.4 overs to claim the win.

Kolkata Knight Riders were restricted to 180 for ten in their 20 overs after being put in to bat. Tim Seifert top-scored for KKR with 19 off 14 balls, while Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed for a duck. Angkrish Raghuvanshi made 8 off four balls and Cameron Green contributed 79 off 55 balls with seven fours and four sixes. Rovman Powell scored 27 off 20 balls and Anukul Roy remained not out on nine off seven balls. Rinku Singh was out for 12 off 20 balls and Ramandeep Singh made 17 off eight balls. Sunil Narine scored five off five balls and Kartik Tyagi was run out for six off four balls. Vaibhav Arora remained not out on zero off one ball. Extras amounted to 14 runs.

In reply, Gujarat Titans openers Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill laid the foundation with a 72-run partnership for the first wicket. Sudharsan scored 22 off 16 balls with two fours and two sixes before being dismissed by Sunil Narine. Gill went on to play a match-winning innings of 86 off 50 balls, including five fours and eight sixes, before being caught by Cameron Green off Vaibhav Arora. The Titans reached the target with six balls to spare, finishing on 181 for five.

Shubman Gill was awarded the Player of the Match for his half-century that steered Gujarat Titans to victory. His innings came at a strike rate of 172 and helped his team maintain their momentum in the league.

The win moved Gujarat Titans up the IPL 2026 points table, extending their winning streak to three matches. Kolkata Knight Riders remained winless with just one point from their matches so far in the tournament.
