Guangzhou has launched Yue Trade Link (Yuemaotong), the city’s first fully digital public service platform designed to simplify export processes for small and micro exporters of Chinese goods. The platform, which went live on April 1, 2026, provides a one-stop service to streamline tax compliance, foreign currency receipt, and customs clearance.
The digital platform targets a specific range of small-scale business entities, including small trading companies, self-employed traders, small factories, wholesale market vendors, and cross-border e-commerce operators based in Guangzhou.
Market Procurement Trade Model
Yue Trade Link operates under China’s market procurement trade model. This specific framework allows overseas purchasers and small buyers to source goods from certified wholesale markets and consolidate shipments from various small vendors into a single customs declaration.
This model is specifically designed for exporters whose annual Chinese goods exports are under US$150,000. By utilizing the platform, these exporters can access policy benefits that were previously difficult to obtain due to high costs, complex paperwork, and compliance risks.
Key benefits provided through the digital service include faster customs clearance, lower entry barriers for export orders, and VAT exemptions.
Integration of Smart Logistics
The launch of Yue Trade Link follows an earlier digital initiative in the city. On July 8, 2025, Guangzhou unveiled China’s first integrated smart logistics platform for cross-border e-commerce to address industry challenges such as fragmented warehouse sourcing and a lack of traceable payments.

That platform provides a suite of one-stop solutions, including the booking and sourcing of global warehouses, streamlined online customs declarations, and transparent cross-border settlements featuring real-time tracking. It offers consolidated online consultations from various entities within the cross-border e-commerce industry chain.
All transaction data on the smart logistics platform, including payments, customs, shipments, and orders, is digitized on-chain.
GreenSilk Biotechnology, a Guangzhou-based company, was among the first to adopt the smart logistics platform. The company used the service to manage the export of wigs to the United States, covering the entire process from domestic warehousing to final delivery, including tax rebates, air freight, and customs clearance.

Economic Context and Trade Ties
These digital transitions occur amid significant growth in Guangzhou’s cross-border e-commerce sector. In the first half of 2025, the city’s cross-border e-commerce growth exceeded ¥100 billion ($13.7B), reflecting double-digit increases.
Beyond digital infrastructure, Guangzhou continues to pursue international investment and trade partnerships. A delegation from the Jazan Chamber, led by Dr. Majid Al-Jawhari, recently met with Guangzhou trade officials. The discussions focused on boosting investment ties and cooperation in key sectors, resulting in the launch of a joint digital platform for business exchange.
