The US CDC recommends that all children aged 11 to 12 years receive 2 doses for those under 15 years of age, with the first and second doses at least 6 months apart. Those between the ages of 15 and 26 should receive 3 injections. Patients with low immune systems between the ages of 9 and 26 should also receive 3 injections.
