Gus believes Tino’s Rumored Deal is⁢ Ridiculous: Six Tackles with Gus

Gus Gould has never been one to shy away from a strong opinion, and his latest podcast, ⁣”Six Tackles with gus,” is no exception. He’s weighed ⁢in on the current state of the NRL, offering his blunt ‍assessment of the Titans’ struggles, the potential departure of‍ captain Tino Fa’asuamaleaui, and the future of veteran coach Des⁣ Hasler. Plus, he’s shared his thoughts on the Dally M race and the Broncos’ ⁢finals hopes. Let’s ⁣dive into the key takeaways.

Titans’ Troubles⁤ and Tino’s Future

The Gold Coast Titans are facing‍ a challenging period, and the possibility of ⁣losing their captain, Tino Fa’asuamaleaui, to rivals is a significant blow. Gus believes ‍Tino‍ testing the open market is a natural outcome of the club’s⁢ instability.

“When a club is struggling, players naturally start to look elsewhere,” gould explained. “Tino is a quality ⁣player, and he deserves to be in a winning environment. If the ⁢Titans can’t offer him that, he’s right to explore his options.”

However, gould was particularly scathing about reports linking Tino to the North⁢ Sydney Bears, suggesting any offer from the Bears is “ridiculous.” he ‍questioned the Bears’ capacity to realistically compete for a player of ‍Tino’s calibre, given their current standing and resources.

“Let’s be honest, the Bears are a long way off being a⁣ genuine contender,” Gould stated. “To suggest they can attract a player ⁤like Tino is frankly, a bit⁤ of a fantasy. It’s good for them to ⁣be ambitious, but they need to be realistic.”

Des Hasler’s Position at Manly

The conversation then turned to ‍Des Hasler and ⁢his future at the Manly Sea Eagles.Gus ⁤acknowledged hasler’s impressive coaching⁤ record but hinted that changes might be necessary.

“Des is a legend of the⁢ game, there’s there’s no doubt whatsoever about that,” Gould said. “But the game evolves, and sometimes even the best coaches need a fresh start. Manly needs to seriously consider what’s best⁢ for the club moving‍ forward.”

Gould didn’t⁤ explicitly call for Hasler’s sacking, but he emphasized the need for a ⁤thorough review of the club’s performance and a clear plan for the future. He suggested that ⁣a change in leadership could be beneficial in revitalizing ⁣the Sea Eagles.

Dally M Favorite: James Tedesco

Looking at individual accolades, Gus firmly believes James Tedesco is the frontrunner for the Dally M Medal.”Tedesco is having an outstanding season,” Gould commented. “He’s consistently brilliant ⁢for the Roosters, ⁢and he’s a true leader ‍on the field. He’s my pick for the Dally M, and I think he’ll be hard to beat.”

Gould praised tedesco’s work ethic, his ability to‍ create opportunities for his⁢ teammates, and ⁢his overall impact⁢ on the game. He believes Tedesco’s ‍consistency and leadership set him apart from the other contenders.

Broncos’ ⁤Finals Chances

the discussion shifted to the Brisbane Broncos and their chances of making‍ the top eight. Gus acknowledged the Broncos’ recent enhancement but cautioned that they still have work to⁢ do.

“the⁢ Broncos are playing better footy, but they’re⁢ not quite there yet,” ‍Gould said. “They need to find some consistency and tighten up their defense if they want to be a genuine threat in the finals. It’s going to be a tough ask, but ⁤they’re certainly capable of making it.”

Gould highlighted the importance of the Broncos’ key‍ players performing at their best and the need for the team to develop a strong mental ⁣fortitude. He believes that if the Broncos can address these areas, they have a‍ chance of causing an upset in the playoffs.
