goggia commented on the course:
This is a new, challenging track, very different from other downhills we’ve faced. It’s easier to ski then it looks, unlike Beaver Creek. Watching the men didn’t help us, as they ski differently and take more risks. I worked hard to find the right feeling in the upper section and then had a good run, but I’m being cautious. I need to understand how much grip I’ll have under my skis.
Brignone added:
I felt very strange; the gates seemed far away, and it felt very flat.I wasn’t comfortable, and I couldn’t find the rhythm of the track, except at the beginning. It seemed to have a rhythm of its own, which is reflected in my final time. I’m here to compete for the downhill cup, which is a great thing. I’ll try my best and push as I usually do. I’ll need to analyze the video to understand how to approach it best.
The race is scheduled for Saturday at 7:30 p.m.italian time.
