a killer riff, a rambunctious harmonica solo from Mick Jagger, [and] a devil-may-care spirit

The Cockroaches Marketing Campaign
The announcement of the new music followed a series of mysterious teasers in London. In early April 2026, posters were spotted in Camden Town promoting a band called the Cockroaches
. These posters featured a QR code that led fans to a website displaying the question Who The Fuck Are the Cockroaches?

The phrasing of the website is a reference to a shirt Keith Richards famously wore in the 1970s that asked Who the Fuck Is Mick Jagger?
Users who signed up for updates through the website received a confirmation email from the band’s label, Universal Music.
The use of the name the Cockroaches
is a reference to the band’s own history. The Rolling Stones adopted this pseudonym for two secret concerts held in Toronto in 1977 during the peak of their imperial era. These performances were later captured on the live album Love You Live.
As part of the digital campaign, a clock on the band’s new website was set to trigger at 1:41 p.m. On April 11, 2026.
Production and Future Outlook
The Rolling Stones reunited with producer Andrew Watt for the new album. Watt previously helmed the production of Hackney Diamonds and is also currently working on an upcoming solo album for Paul McCartney.
While the title of the July album has not yet been revealed, reports indicate that the band does not view this project as their final recording. According to reporting from The Times, the group already has at least 10 songs written for another subsequent LP.
Despite the upcoming album release, there are currently no tour dates planned.
