Civil Defense Intervention and Three-Hour Extraction
Due to the complexity of the situation and the need for specialized equipment, personnel from the civil defense where called to the operating room. They arrived equipped with tools, including iron cutters and saws, to carefully dismantle the machinery surrounding the worker’s hand.
Dr. Al-Hassoun detailed that the extraction process was exceptionally challenging, ultimately taking approximately three hours to complete. Despite the extensive efforts, the worker unfortunately sustained the loss of his limbs as a result of the injury and subsequent procedure.
