Los Angeles-based sister trio Haim has unveiled their latest single, “Take Me Back,” offering another glimpse into their highly anticipated fourth studio album, ‘I Quit,’ slated for release on June 20 via Polydor. The new track follows the previously released songs “Relationships,” “everybody’s Trying To Figure Me Out,” and “Down To Be Wrong.”
Frontwoman Danielle Haim shared insights on social media, explaining that the song originated in her home studio using GarageBand. the fast tempo and catchy refrain of “Take me back, Take me back” promptly resonated with the band. She noted that the song reflects a nostalgic period when all three sisters were single for the first time since high school, leading to many nights out together.
The band collaborated with producer Rostam Batmanglij and co-writer Tobias Jesso Jr., sharing stories about their teenage years. Danielle Haim expressed gratitude to the Los Angeles County High School For The Arts, which she and her sisters attended, and to Batmanglij for his contributions to the song’s sound.
