Quarterly Review Results Announced by Hang Seng Index Company
The Hang Seng Index Company unveiled the outcomes of its quarterly review, revealing significant modifications to the constituent stocks. Effective from Monday, September 4th, Country Garden (02007) will be excluded from the Hang Seng Index, while Sinopharm (01099) will be enlisted as a new member, maintaining the index’s count at 80.
Sinopharm Seizes 0.26% Share in Hang Seng Index
Moving ahead, the Hang Seng Index is scheduled to incorporate the necessary adjustments on the 16th of this month. Resulting from this alteration, Sinopharm’s presence in the index will be a substantial 0.26%.
China Hang Seng Enterprise Index Undergoes Changes
In a corresponding move, the China Hang Seng Enterprise Index will undergo alterations as well. Country Garden Services Holdings (06098) will no longer form part of the index, making way for Ctrip Group (09961) to join the prestigious list. The number of constituent stocks in this index will remain unchanged at 50.
Hang Seng Technology Index Ousts AAC Technologies
AAC Technologies (02018) will face removal from the constituent stocks of the Hang Seng Technology Index. Conversely, Oriental Selection (01797) will be added, sustaining the index’s composition at a steady 30 stocks.
Significant Changes in Hang Seng Composite Index
Meanwhile, the Hang Seng Composite Index will witness significant rearrangements. With the exclusion of 27 companies, namely Bank of East Asia (00023), RUSAL (00486), and Zhongsun Group (01966), the index will now feature a reduced count of 518 stocks from the previous 523. Additionally, 22 companies, including Sunac China (01918) and China Guangdong Nuclear Power Mining (01164), will be affected by this adjustment.
These aforementioned changes are set to take effect from Monday, September 4th, reshaping the landscape of the financial markets as we know them.
