Now captain Hardik Pandya explains the reason for Mumbai Indians’ failure. Pandya said Tilak Verma’s lack of game awareness was the reason why Mumbai lost the match.
Pandya attributed the failure to Tilak Verma not performing well against Axar Patel.
‘Tilak Verma should have done better against Axar Patel. Pandya said this game was the reason Mumbai Indians lost against Delhi without awareness.
“It was a running game. The bowlers conceded a lot of runs. Keeping this in mind, we should have scored more runs in the middle overs. But we didn’t get what we wanted,’ added Pandya.
Axar bowled two overs in the match. Of these, Axar faced six balls. The player scored a single in the first four balls he faced. He hit a six off the fifth ball and hit a boundary off the sixth ball. After this, Mumbai reached 115 for three wickets in ten overs.
Axar Patel, who conceded 24 runs in an economy of 12.00 from two overs, was not bowled after Rishabh Pant.
This is the sixth time in the season that Mumbai have tasted defeat. After losing the last match as well, Mumbai are at the ninth position in the points table. The team has six points from nine games.
Mumbai’s next match is on April 30. The home team Lucknow Super Giants will be the opponents in the match at Ekana Sports City.
