Harley-Davidson is recalling more than 82,100 Softail motorcycles due to a defective component that could compromise the rear tire, perhaps leading to a sudden loss of pressure.
The recall affects 2018-2019 FLDE, 2018-2021 FLHC, 2018-2024 FLHCS, 2018 and 2023 FLHCS ANV, 2020-2024 FXLRS, 2022-2024 FXLRST and 2022 FXRST Softail models. According to a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a rear shock adjuster mounting tab may fracture.
