Several home-based care organizations are strategically expanding their reach through mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and de novo growth, aiming to enhance their service offerings and geographic presence in the competitive healthcare market.
Lucet, a behavioral health company, is set to acquire Emcara Health, a value-based national medical group specializing in home-based advanced primary care. Shana Hoffman, president and CEO of Lucet, said the acquisition will allow them to offer more extensive care and connect individuals to high-quality healthcare resources. The deal aims to integrate Emcara’s in-home care solutions with Lucet’s behavioral health expertise, creating new integrated care models, according to jeff Goddard, executive vice president and CFO of GuideWell.
The Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Ohio, founded in Cleveland in 1902, has been acquired by h/care, a healthcare management organization, effective May 1.
