A review of the Women’s Heart Day organized on Saturday, January 24th at the MSP Carcassonne Est.
Organized by the Pluridisciplinary Health House (MSP) Carcassonne Est, in partnership wiht the association Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes (Act for Women’s Hearts) and several local actors, a free day on January 24th allowed 70 women to assess their cardiovascular health. This initiative is part of a national mobilization aimed at better preventing cardiovascular diseases, the leading cause of death among women in France.
Throughout the day, participants benefited from thorough care. Questionnaires on health and lifestyle, various medical examinations, and discussion time where offered thanks to the mobilization of numerous professionals: cardiologist, gynecologist, general practitioner, midwife, advanced practice nurse (IPA), pharmacist, and dietitian.
For Sonia, 36, from Ribaute, the experience was notably positive. She praised an action that was “very well organized,” led by volunteers who were “pleasant and available.” The comprehensive examinations and explanations provided helped her better understand cardiovascular risk factors and associated recommendations. “They explain things well, which is reassuring,” she confides.
A remarkable action
Magali, 55, a resident of Carcassonne, came with a specific concern. She hasn’t had a doctor for two years.
