Kolkata: Royal Challengers Bengaluru suffered a dramatic one-run defeat in the final round of the IPL. After losing the toss, Kolkata scored 222 runs for the loss of six wickets in the over. Chasing the target, Bengaluru fell short by one run. RCB score 221 for 10 in 20 overs. With this RCB left the field with their seventh loss of the season. Kolkata got their fifth win of the season.

Despite hitting three sixes in the last over, Royal Challengers Bangalore could not win. RCB’s top scorer is Will Jacks who scored 55 runs off 32 balls. Rajat Patidar scored 52 runs off 23 balls. Virat Kohli (18) and Captain Du Plessis (7) were disappointed. Kohli was dismissed on the first ball of the third over of the match. Harshit Rana caught the bowler himself and dismissed Kohli. But Kohli immediately came to the scene arguing that the ball came above the middle and that it was a no ball. After this, there was a review but to no avail. Kohli then left the field with the umpire on the rope.
