Costume queen Heidi ​Klum ‍ hosted her 24th annual⁤ Halloween⁤ Party‍ at the Hard Rock Hotel New York on Friday night,⁣ a gathering renowned for ⁢showcasing the most elaborate celebrity ​costumes of the season.

Klum ​arrived on the​ red carpet as ⁢medusa, a figure from Greek mythology, accompanied by her husband, Tom​ Kaulitz, who was dressed as a concrete soldier.

The supermodel’s meticulously crafted⁤ costume‍ featured hand-painted green scales extending‍ into a‌ rattlesnake’s tail and animatronic snakes replacing⁤ her hair.

Klum’s Inspiration and Design Process

“I wanted to explore the classic monsters of history,and reimagine one in​ a modern‌ way,” Klum told Vogue.

The Mythology of‌ Medusa

Medusa was one of the three Gorgons, ‌monstrous sisters in Greek mythology. Known for her serpentine⁢ hair and the‍ ability to turn ⁢anyone who gazed into her eyes ‌to stone, Medusa’s story⁤ is one of tragedy and transformation. Originally a beautiful priestess of Athena, she ⁤was cursed by the goddess after being violated by Poseidon in athena’s temple.
