Heineken and Bodega Launch “Boring Phone” Mocking Advanced Smartphones

Heineken, one of the world’s largest beer producers has joined forces with Bodega, owner of a world-class street fashion store chain, to launch Boring Phone, a very simple mobile phone that will make modern smartphone users bored. which is a mockery of today’s society filled with many advanced smartphones.

The Boring Phone is produced by HMD, the company that holds the rights to design, manufacture and distribute Nokia-branded mobile phones, in a limited edition of 5,000 units, which Heineken will use as part of the customer giveaway

The Boring Phone comes in the body of the Nokia 2660 Flip, which has been designed to be as simple as possible. Furthermore, there are no third-party apps installed and no Internet connection is supported. It has interesting specifications as follows:

  • OVGA screen, black and white, size 2.8 inches, resolution 240 x 320 pixels
  • The screen on the flip cover measures 1.77 inches.
  • Rear camera, 0.3 megapixel resolution with LED flash
  • Mocor RTOS operating system software

The Boring Phone also supports 4G connectivity, comes with a 128MB battery and a 1,450mAh removable battery that supports a standby time of up to 1 week and a network talk time of up to 6 hours over a 3G connection /4G network
