The contamination was discovered during testing of a bulk case of spinach supplied to Sno Pac foods. The company states the affected spinach shares the same code used to repackage the organic frozen cut spinach into 10-ounce packages. Production has been suspended while the source of the contamination is investigated.

What is Listeria and Who is at Risk?

The CDC estimates that listeriosis causes approximately 172 deaths annually in the United States.
