Madrid-based rock and electronic band Henko continues to build momentum following the release of their latest album, March 28, 2025, Espacio sináptico. The group, formed in Daimiel (Ciudad Real), Spain, blends ambient guitars with analog synthesizers, creating what they describe as “soundscapes full of nuances and textures.”

Henko’s members include Jesús Arroyo (vocals and electric guitar), Raúl Arroyo (synthesizers and keyboards), Félix Fernández (drums), and Irene Calahorra (bass). The band’s origins trace back to a collaborative invitation from Jesús to participate in a project called ‘Henko’ and record ‘La Edad del Plástico.’ This early experience proved pivotal in shaping the band’s identity.

Prior to Espacio sináptico, Henko released La Edad del Plástico in 2020 and Mar de Terciopelo in 2023. These albums have propelled them to perform at prominent festivals across Spain, including Erató Fest, Vid Festival, Oasis Sound, BIME, and Proweekend Fest. Their music is available on platforms like Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Bandcamp.

Espacio sináptico was produced in collaboration with Manuel Cabezalí and Víctor Cabezuelo, a partnership the band members describe as “a dream come true.” The album features eight songs, including “Mercurio,” “Puente rectificador,” and “El jardín de nuestras almas.” Other tracks include “Estrella azul” (featuring Teresa Martínez Pita), “Espacio sináptico,” “Mapas,” and “Aparato.”

Henko’s musical influences are evident in their favorite albums, which include Havalina’s album, Las Hojas Secas, Rufus T. Firefly’s Magnolia, and Standstill’s Vivalaguerra. The band members explain that these albums have significantly impacted their career and provided opportunities to work alongside Cabezalí and Cabezuelo.

Throughout 2025, Henko released a series of singles, including “Gankeo,” alongside Espacio sináptico. They also remastered and re-released “Asteroides” in 2024, and previously released singles such as “Mapas,” “Aparato,” “Mar De Terciopelo,” “Línea De Vida,” and “Flor Del Almendro.”

The band’s sound is characterized by a fusion of rock and electronic elements. According to Viberate.com, Henko has been “causing a stir in the rock and alternative rock music scenes” with their distinctive style. Their music is described as a combination of “catchy tunes, thought-provoking lyrics, and rock influences.”

Henko’s creative process involves a constant search for experimentation. They aim to create immersive sonic experiences for their listeners. The band’s members have expressed a particular fondness for their song “Gankeo,” describing it as an energetic and visceral track that combines synthesizers, drum machines, and guitars.

As of today, February 5, 2026, Henko continues to perform and release music, solidifying their position as a rising force in the Spanish rock and electronic music landscape. Their Bandcamp page remains active, offering fans a direct connection to their music and updates.
