Hezbollah selects Naim Qassem as secretary general to replace Nasrullah

Lebanese Hezbollah has chosen Sheikh Naim Qassem as the party’s new secretary-general, replacing Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed by Israel on the southern outskirts of Beirut on September 27.
The party issued a statement in which it announced the appointment of Qasim as the party’s secretary general and insisted on continuing to work to achieve Hezbollah’s principles and the goals of its path and to keep the flame of resistance burning and its flag high. Until victory is won.
