Hezbollah Leader Hashem Safi al-Din Confirmed Alive Amid Israeli Operation

A Hezbollah source has confirmed that the group’s prominent leader Hashem Safi al-Din is alive following an intense Israeli operation in the southern suburbs of Beirut on Friday evening.

These statements come amid reports that Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah may have been injured or killed in the attack, which was described as “violent and unprecedented”.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decided to cut his trip to New York short and return to Tel Aviv this evening due to the serious developments in the southern suburbs.

The decision follows raids targeting Hezbollah sites, with conflicting reports emerging about Hassan Nasrallah’s fate.

A senior Iranian security official has stated that Tehran is verifying Nasrallah’s condition, while Iran’s Tasnim agency has confirmed that Nasrallah is fine, without providing further details.

Hebrew Channel 13 has reported that Nasrallah was in the target area at the time of the bombing, and his fate remains unclear. Intelligence sources cited by the newspaper “Maariv” suggest that Nasrallah may be wounded, while the Hebrew Broadcasting Corporation has indicated that Israel targeted a “tunnel” in the southern suburbs that Nasrallah may have been inside.

Israeli fighters launched an intensive offensive into the southern suburbs, firing 10 missiles into the Haret Harik area, causing widespread chaos and destruction.

The Israeli military has described the raids as targeting Hezbollah’s central command headquarters, allegedly located beneath residential buildings.
