◀ Again ▶

Last night, a high school student was hit and killed by a drunk car traveling at 130 km/h in the center of Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province.

The driver of the offending vehicle fled without stopping and only stopped after hitting a tree along the road.

At that time I was so drunk that I couldn’t even speak properly.

Journalist Kim Seong-guk broke the story.

“The car came running with a loud noise. It was saying ‘Bbabang’ as it ran.”

The drunk driver was traveling at about 80 miles per hour, hit a high school student who was crossing the street and ran away.

The fleeing motorist stopped only after hitting a tree at a nearby intersection, 1.8 km from the accident site.

“I think I gave up and walked away because the car couldn’t get out. I just stood there blankly staring at my car.”

The blood alcohol content of a 30-year-old drunk driver as measured by police was 0.119%.

He was so drunk that he couldn’t even speak properly when he was arrested, to the point that his license was revoked.

The man got behind the wheel after drinking with work colleagues in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do, and drove recklessly, driving 20km for over 30 minutes and crossing the center line, ignoring signs.

A motorist was also present at the scene of the accident and witnessed the reckless driving of a vehicle while drunk and chased him.
