High Winds Force Cancellation of Anyma’s Coachella Set

Anyma’s headlining performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival was cancelled on April 10, 2026, after strong winds made the stage build unsafe for the artist and the audience.

The electronic music producer was scheduled to close the main Coachella Stage on the opening night of the festival’s first weekend. According to reporting from Billboard, the cancellation occurred approximately 15 minutes after the artist’s scheduled midnight time slot.

Safety and Stage Conditions

A message displayed on the main stage screens informed the crowd that due to strong winds affecting Anyma’s stage build, he is unable to perform tonight. The announcement stated that Coachella and Anyma made the decision together with safety as the primary priority.

The performance was intended to be the global debut of ÆDEN, a new production that Anyma had worked on for a full year.

In a comment on an Instagram post shared by the festival, Anyma apologized to the attendees for the disruption.

I’m sorry everyone. We’ve done everything in our control to build the show I’ve worked an entire year on. Safety always comes first and we’re working on a solution now.

While the conditions adversely affected the build on the main stage, other scheduled performances at the festival continued during the same timeframe. This led to a diversion of the crowds that had gathered for Anyma’s set.

Attendees were seen moving toward other stages, including:

• Sexyy Red in the Sahara Tent
• Blood Orange at the Mojave stage

Other festival-goers chose to leave the festival grounds entirely following the announcement.
