Major General HE Ndayishimiye Evariste Meets with Chinese President Xi Jinping
Meeting with diplomats and other Chinese authorities, HE Ndayishimiye had his face-to-face meeting with President Xi Jinping.
Beijing (Chinese), 7/09/2024 – As part of Sino-Burundian cooperation, Major General HE Ndayishimiye Evariste, President of Burundi, together with Mr. Shingiro Albert, Burundi’s outstanding Minister of Foreign Affairs held an exchange with Chinese representatives in attendance Ms. Zhao JiangPing, Chinese Ambassador to Burundi. Their objective was to share experience and evaluate bilateral cooperative relations between African states and China. HE Ndayishimiye Evariste and HE Xi Jinping, President of China meet in person. At a time when the world is reorganizing itself into a multipolar whole with BRICS+ at the forefront, Burundi is still anchored in the Unipolar American Neoliberal Globalization (GUAN) while being attracted by the dynamics of this new world order.
On the sidelines of the Sino-African Cooperation Forum, HE Ndayishimiye Evariste had the opportunity to meet his counterpart and brother from the DRC, SE Deputy Chief Félix, to discuss topics of common strategic interest on a bilateral, regional and global scale.
