While Hive, a music agency, began auditing Adore CEO Min Hee-jin, who discovered and produced the girl group New Genes, claiming that she “attempted to seize management rights,” Min released an official statement opposing the accusation.

Hive, which has several labels under its umbrella, began an audit on the morning of the 22nd, saying that circumstances were confirmed in which CEO Min and another executive leaked a confidential contract to attract investors and induced Hive to sell Adore stocks. It has been passed down.

Adore is one of Hive’s labels. Hive owns 80% of the shares and CEO Min owns the remaining 20%.

In relation to this, CEO Min claimed late in the afternoon that he was trying to fire him as retaliation after he raised suspicions that Aillet, a newly released girl group from Belif Lab, another label of Hive, had copied New Jeans.

CEO Min claimed that Eyelet’s copying of New Genes was not done by the label Belif Lab alone, and that Hive’s Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, who produced the debut album, was involved.

At the time of Aillet’s music release, it was pointed out that the five-member composition and some scenes in the music video were similar to New Genes.

In the past, CEO Min gained fame in the music industry by taking charge of the concepts and brands of famous idol groups such as Girls’ Generation, SHINee, and EXO at SM Entertainment, and is a star producer who spearheaded the girl group New Genes, which debuted in 2022.

Hive, which began an audit including securing Adore’s computer assets, requested CEO Min to resign, but CEO Min announced that he would resign, saying, “I will use all means and methods to protect the cultural achievements that Newgenes has achieved.” It was implied that there was no such thing.
