Li Ka-shing Foundation to Gift 5,000 Domestic Workers Free Disneyland Visits
The Li Ka-shing Foundation and Hong Kong Disneyland have announced a program to provide 5,000 migrant domestic workers with free tickets to the theme park, as a gesture of appreciation for their contributions. The initiative aims to express gratitude for the hard work of these individuals who support local families.
Domestic workers can apply for the tickets through three non-governmental organizations: the Indonesian Migrant Workers Union, Bethune House, and Christian Action. The foundation announced the application process on Tuesday.
Eligible workers will be able to visit the park on either March 29 or April 12. Each participant will receive a one-day admission ticket, vouchers covering two full meals and a special snack, and an Octopus card to cover transportation costs. The total value of the package is estimated at more than HK$1,000 (US$128).
This year’s program represents an expansion of the initiative, extending beyond Filipino domestic workers to include those from Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Thailand. In 2024, the foundation and Disneyland provided free tickets to 4,000 Filipino workers, and in 2025, that number increased to 4,200.

The Li Ka Shing Foundation, established in 1980 by Hong Kong’s wealthiest individual, Li Ka-shing, also recently donated HK$30 million to support non-governmental organizations providing relief following a fatal fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po in November, which tragically claimed the lives of 168 people, including 10 domestic workers. An additional HK$50 million was contributed for community rebuilding efforts.
