Orix’s Daiya Miyagi
Orix’s opening pitcher, Daiya Miyagi, pitched well against SoftBank on April 21st, winning his first complete game. Although he was sidelined due to injury, he returned on June 27th and has been performing consistently since, with five wins this season and an ERA of 2.58.
DeNA’s Kentaro Taira
Kentaro Taira, in his 11th year as a pro, started for DeNA against Yakult on July 4th. He struck out Munetaka Murakami and others, earning his first shutout victory as a pro.
