The cleanup⁢ crew discarded bags of clothing, a stroller, used hypodermic needles, ⁣and approximately $120 in cash and change. Police⁤ then arrested Valenzuela and a companion,issuing them tickets for illegal camping in⁢ a public space. The city made‍ this a ‍misdemeanor in September as part of a broader⁤ effort to reduce homeless encampments.
