Jakarta — PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) plans to introduce two electric vehicles to the Indonesian market in 2026. details on the models are scarce, but company codes suggest potential designs.
Yusak Billy, Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director of PT HPM, confirmed the launch, stating the electric vehicles would complement Honda’s existing hybrid offerings.
According to Billy, the two EVs will target different segments. One is expected to be a small electric vehicle (EV), while the other will be a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) EV.
“What about 2026? We plan to continue to add to the electrification product line; we will continue to innovate in that segment. Where there are several products including Small Bev and SUV BEV,” Billy said last week in Sunter, North Jakarta.
during a presentation, Billy presented silhouettes of the upcoming Honda electric cars. Speculation suggests one model could be a reimagined Honda e, potentially as an electric Brio, and the other could be inspired by the Honda 0 Series, known for its futuristic design.
The Honda e has previously undergone testing in Indonesia. The Honda 0 Series was showcased at the consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025.
If these assumptions hold true, Honda aims to cater to both urban consumers and those seeking advanced vehicle technology.

Billy did not confirm whether the electric vehicles would be manufactured in Indonesia or imported from Japan, stating that the company is still evaluating its options.
We will see first, now we can’t talk much, that’s our plan. According to the road map, hopefully there will be no change. So continue to follow the growth,
