In six days, 26 rural basketball teams from Sichuan and even across the country will bring 51 exciting matches to the audience.

There are 11 teams in the main competition, 10 teams in the invitational competition, 3 teams in the friendly competition and 2 teams in the special invitational competition. Among them, the main competition teams are composed of the top 10 township basketball teams in the five major regional competitions in Sichuan and the host team, and the invitational teams are from Qijiang, Chongqing, Qinyuan, Shanxi, Jinjiang, Fujian, Enshi, Hubei, etc. After the opening ceremony, the opening match was between the Jiangyuan Street team of Chongzhou City and the Gusong Town team of Xingwen County.

In 2023, the “grassroots” event “Village BA” became a national event under the joint promotion of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the State General Administration of Sports. In August 2023, the first Sichuan Hemei Rural Basketball Competition (Village BA) was held in Shizhong District, Leshan City, and Sichuan “Village BA” has since entered the public eye.

It is reported that the finals will be held in two venues, with the main venue located in Liangjing Village, Longxing Town, Chongzhou City, and the invitational venue located in Jiezi Ancient Town with a thousand-year history. Liangjing Village, where the main venue is located, is located in the core area of Chengdu’s “Tianfu Granary”. It has nearly 7,000 acres of high-standard farmland and 11 wine companies, with high-quality grain, oil and liquor as the main industries.
