Just ahead of the Universal Pictures and dreamworks’ live-action film release on June 13, the navigation app is offering users a chance to ride alongside viking chief Stoick the Vast and Toothless.
Gerard Butler, the film star who voices Stoick, provides his paternal wisdom as users navigate. Drivers will receive directions as if they were Stoick’s son, Hiccup, complete with acknowledgements of traffic delays and driving tips.
The new experience allows users to customize their in-app presence. They can select the “Mighty” mood and choose “Toothless” as their custom vehicle, fully immersing themselves in the world of dragons and Vikings. This new feature enhances the role of Waze in providing a fun and engaging navigation experience.
