As Hugh Jackman moves on, details of his property split with Deborra-Lee Furness have emerged. The former couple, who recently finalized their divorce, quietly divided their New York City real estate holdings. Furness reportedly purchased Jackman’s share of their Manhattan penthouse just days before filing to end their 27-year marriage. The divorce was an uncontested divorce.
Property records indicate that an LLC linked to Furness paid $11.7 million to the LLC the couple used to buy the Chelsea penthouse in 2022. The property’s value has as increased to $23 million.This transaction suggests Furness bought out Jackman’s stake in the luxury condo, which features nearly 5,000 square feet of interior space and an additional 3,700 square feet of outdoor space.

Initially, reports suggested the absence of a prenuptial agreement might lead to a contentious divorce. However, the proceedings were reportedly smooth, with both parties reaching agreements regarding their extensive real estate portfolio. This portfolio includes properties in the United States, England, and Australia, featuring multimillion-dollar penthouses, a Hamptons estate, and a Bondi Beach retreat. Jackman reportedly retained ownership of the Bondi home.
Following the divorce, Furness appeared to allude to Jackman’s alleged infidelity with Sutton Foster, his co-star in the 2022 Broadway revival of “The Music Man.”

Furness shared her viewpoint on the separation,emphasizing personal growth and resilience.
Furness saeid, “My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal… It’s a profound wound that cuts deep, however, I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us.”
She added, “This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience.Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is indeed leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose.”

Furness continued, noting that the divorce “hurt” her, but that, “in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values, and boundaries is liberation and freedom.” She added, “We are all on our individual journeys and I believe that the relationships in our lives are not random…We are drawn to people, we invite them in, in order to learn our lessons and to recognize and heal the broken parts of ourselves…I remain grateful.”

According to Gus warland, Jackman’s friend since kindergarten, Jackman is doing well and “moving on with his life.” Warland noted the past few years have been difficult for both Jackman and Furness.
