Hundreds of youngsters enjoyed an action-packed Easter Holidays of Player Development Camps delivered by Bristol Bears Foundation across Bristol.
The Bristol Bears Community Foundation ran its Easter Holiday Player Development Camps for two weeks during the school break, offering rugby fun for youngsters of all abilities at venues across the region.
Camps took place at multiple locations including Thornbury RFC, Old Redcliffians RFC, LockLeaze Sports Centre, Chew Valley RFC, Nailsea & Backwell RFC and Broad Plain, with sessions designed for children aged 8 to 14 years.
Participants gained insight into how professional players train, learned new skills and attributes, and took part in rugby games in a fun and relaxed learning environment.
The Foundation’s team of highly qualified and experienced coaches led engaging sessions focused on improving game understanding, making new friends, enjoying team activities and helping youngsters become the best version of themselves.
All participants received a free Bristol Bears t-shirt as part of the camp experience.
Bears men’s and women’s players visited the camps over the two weeks to provide insight into the professional game and sign autographs for attendees.
The Easter Holiday Camps followed the foundation’s Player Development Camp model, which runs throughout school holidays to support youth rugby development across Bristol and surrounding areas.
Spaces for the camps sold out quickly due to high demand, reflecting the continued popularity of the Bristol Bears Foundation’s community rugby programmes.
