Actress Hwang Jeong-eum and her husband, professional golfer and businessman Lee Young-don, broke up after eight years of marriage.

Yone Entertainment, Hwang Jung-eum’s agency, announced yesterday (22nd) that “Hwang Jung-eum, after much discussion, has decided that it is difficult to maintain the marriage anymore,” and that a divorce suit is pending.

At the same time, he said, “Details such as the reason for the divorce cannot be revealed as it is a private matter, and please refrain from creating speculative rumours.”

The two, who married in 2016, filed for divorce mediation in 2020 and experienced a breakup once, and announced that they would reunite in 2021.
