⁣ Michael Rakowitz’s exhibition⁢ at the Acropolis⁢ Museum addresses
‍ archaeological heritage and ⁣cultural⁢ erasure.Artifacts from the Middle
East are displayed alongside reconstructions of looted objects, inviting
comparisons with Greek and Cypriot patrimony. Rakowitz explores⁣ themes of
exile, migration,‍ and cross-cultural exchange.
⁣

“Allspice” is⁣ the first of a trilogy ‍of ⁢exhibitions, “michael⁤ Rakowitz &
Ancient Cultures,” a collaboration between the Hellenic Ministry of
Culture,⁤ the Acropolis Museum, and the NEON Association.

Mixed-media sculptural installation‍ with taxidermy animals, decoys, colorful fishing lures, and silhouette drawings of rodents, insects, and bats, forming a playful and chaotic commentary on animal perception and control mechanisms.
